Youth Summer Camp
Once school is out, Dakota Ridge hosts it's annual youth summer basketball camp. This camp is for kids of all levels who want to have fun and become a better basketball player. The coaching staff and varsity basketball players will be the instructors. The camp takes place early in June (traditionally the first full week after school gets out) and spans 4 days with the times vary depending on grade level. Kids who will be 3rd through 5th graders the following school year traditionally go from 8:00-11:00am while 6th-8th graders go from 12:00-3:00pm. The camp's main focus will be to develop a love of basketball for each player while having fun and learning the fundamentals. Each day will have blocks that focus on footwork, offensive skills, defensive skills, competitive individual games, 4 on 4 or 5 on 5 games, and individual contests.

Dates and times for this summer's Youth Summer Camp have not been determined yet. Please check back in March for more information.

Sharpshooter Clinic
Each April, the Dakota Ridge High School coaching staff conducts a shooting clinic for youth basketball players that will be 4th through 9th graders the following school year. Kids do not have to have had experience playing basketball to register for the clinic. This clinic takes a progressive approach to teaching shooting technique. Participants will learn the fundamentals of shooting the basketball in four one hour sessions that occur once each week in April. After each session the players will receive "shooting homework" to complete before the next session. Participants will walk away from this clinic with improved shooting technique and the tools and drills to work on to continually improve his shot.
Dates and times for the next Sharpshooter Clinic have not been determined yet. Please check back in March for more information.
