Varsity Head Coach
Sean Kovar
2023-2024 Jeffco Coach of the Year
Sean Kovar (formerly Burnham) has been coaching for the Eagles since 2013. In 2018, Sean was hired as the 4th boys basketball coach in the history of Dakota Ridge. A former Dakota Ridge Basketball player himself (2004), he still is the only player in school history to earn Jeffco League MVP honors and become a First Team All-State 5A selection. Sean played college basketball at Dickinson State University in North Dakota where he was a starting point guard and team captain while earning his bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in coaching. He coached at the collegiate level for three years and earned his master’s in counseling at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. In 2016, Sean was selected as the Assistant Coach of the Year for all boys sports at Dakota Ridge. Sean is a licensed school counselor for Jeffco Public Schools. He and his wife Sunni are proud parents of their son, Cannon, and daughter, Navy.

Varsity Assistant (Associate Head Coach)
Hubert Price
Coach Price graduated from Dakota Ridge High School in 2016 and immedatly went on to Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. He received his undergrad there in 2020 (History and Political Science). Hubert then got into teaching and has been teaching Middle School Social Studies since 2022. He started his coaching career at Ponderosa High School in Parker and jumped ship to join Coach Kovar, who was his JV coach when he atteneded Dakota Ridge. Coach Price recently finished his masters degree in Education, also at Adams State University.

Junior Varsity Coach
Nick Cummings
​After an 11-year hiatus, Nick Cummings once again takes the reigns as JV Coach for Dakota Ridge Men's Basketball. Most recently, Nick coached multiple teams within the Dakota Ridge Sports Association, but prior to that, Nick was the JV coach from 2004 through 2012. In all, he brings 22 years of coaching experience into this season. Nick is a graduate of Dakota Ridge, playing varsity basketball from 1996 through 1998. He was a member of the first league championship team for Dakota Ridge men's basketball and still holds the program record for most steals in one game. He is now in his 22nd year teaching math at Dakota Ridge. He lives in Littleton with his wife Lyndsay and his two sons, Cameron and Kiptyn.

Level 3 Coach
Jeremy Carr
With 26 years of residency in the Littleton/Lakewood area, Coach Carr is deeply rooted in our local community. A proud husband, father of four, and a brand-new grandfather, he understands the importance of mentorship and family.

Jeremy brings a wealth of multi-sport perspective to the court, having lettered in cross country, basketball, and baseball during his high school career. Over the last six years, he has climbed the coaching ranks at Dakota Ridge—from DRSA and the 8th Grade Feeder program to his current position as the Level 3 Head Coach. When he isn't coaching or running his real estate and home staging businesses, you can find him skiing, golfing, or spending time with his kids. He is honored to lead this program and live out the motto: "All Eagles, All Family.
